Both select through the West Midlands Grammar Schools Entrance Test provided by GL Assessment, administered via the Shropshire/Wolverhampton/Walsall (SWW) part of the partnership.
The test is two multiple-choice papers covering English, maths, verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning, with answers on a machine-marked sheet and age-standardised scores. It is sat in September at the start of Year 6; both schools are heavily oversubscribed.
The Shropshire, Wolverhampton & Walsall (SWW) Consortium — Part of the West Midlands Grammar Schools Partnership. One registration and result covers both Walsall schools (and other partnership schools).
