The test has three papers — Maths (about 50 minutes), English comprehension and SPaG (about 45 minutes), and Verbal Reasoning (about 50 minutes).
Non-verbal reasoning is not tested. Each school offers roughly 190 places a year against strong competition, and parents name their chosen school(s) on the local authority form after results.
